The Rock from Which I Came
Isaiah 51:1-3
“Listen to me, you who pursue righteousness,
you who seek the Lord:
look to the rock from which you were hewn (cut or carved),
and to the quarry from which you were dug.
2 Look to Abraham your father
and to Sarah who bore you;
for he was but one when I called him,
that I might bless him and multiply him.
3 For the Lord comforts Zion;
he comforts all her waste places
and makes her wilderness like Eden,
her desert like the garden of the Lord;
joy and gladness will be found in her,
thanksgiving and the voice of song.
The first part of this chapter stood out to me. It made me meditate on the idea of looking towards the one from which I came. That thought of looking to the rock from which I was cut. Do we know who we were cut from? Do we understand that there is a supreme and powerful creator of all things who made each of us? He made us and gave us His very breathe. He made us with His hands and made us not for trickery and entertainment but relationship and love. He wants to provide for us, teach us, grow us, and have communion with us.
It’s not just important to understand who made us and where we came from but in this mystery is our very purpose and true path. When we put aside our Creator and chart a path for ourselves, we will always end up in mistakes and mess. We are doomed towards destruction without Him. Is it because the path towards destruction is more attractive and easier than the path of righteousness that we choose? We tend towards the easier route and turn our backs on the truth of who we are. We were all created by a good and righteous God, and no matter how we feel in this world, this is the only path towards truth and eternal bliss.
Our Creator loves us so much that He made a way for us to turn around from all our mistakes, be forgiven and return to Him through our Lord and saviour, Jesus. This is the true key to life and eternal happiness, which we all want. But are we courageous enough to accept it? Are we brave enough to leave our current lives behind and follow Jesus?
Matthew 7:13-14
13 “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy[a] that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14 For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
Let us strive each day to be in the few.

But are we courageous enough to accept it? What a loaded question but so on point. If only we would realize this fact that we came from God, that we belong to him and yes, we were made for Relationship with him and Love from him.
Bless you Vani, Keep up this excellent work
Thanks
