He Will Strengthen
Isaiah 40:28-31
Have you not known? Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He does not faint or grow weary;
his understanding is unsearchable.
29 He gives power to the faint,
and to him who has no might he increases strength.
30 Even youths shall faint and be weary,
and young men shall fall exhausted;
31 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings like eagles;
they shall run and not be weary;
they shall walk and not faint.
He is our everlasting God.
He is the Creator of all.
He never tires.
He understands everything.
And He gives power to the faint.
To him who is weak, He increases strength.
This beautiful chapter of Isaiah speaks about how great our God is. It stresses God’s greatness and speaks of misinformed people who worship the work of man’s hand. But I zoom in on the last part about how he strengthens those with none.
It says that those who wait on the Lord that he will renew their strength.
As we grow older or when we are sick, we realise how mortal our bodies are. We are then reminded of how we need God’s strength. We need this renewing of strength. While we are still here, we have a job to do for God. He wants us to spread his love, but we need strength, and he is our provider.
So, what does it mean to wait on the Lord?
The word wait here is the Hebrew word qawa (h6960), and it means to bind together, to collect, to expect, to gather, to look patiently, to look eagerly and to wait.
This makes me think of faith. Having that belief that God will come and do it regardless of how bad the situation is. So, let us wait on the Lord with great expectation, i.e., have faith in Him. Let us believe in Him even when things are bad, and we lose all strength…wait on Him. He will surely come.

God bless you and keep Vani.
I once saw an inscription in a church that said, “The Spirit of expectancy is the breathing ground for Miracles”
So yea, Let us “WAIT” on the LORD.
EXCELLENT AS USUAL VANI. Keep it up.
