A God of New Beginnings
Our God is the God of new beginnings, and we should be so grateful for that as we know we need it. The Bible shows us that when he first gave the perfect world to the first humans, they messed it up. It shows us many other people similarly messing it up repeatedly, hence the need for new beginnings. We can also see how God has given us so many chances when we don’t deserve it. He could have easily wiped us out, but again and again, he gave us a new beginning.
Genesis 1:28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
Genesis 6:13 And God said to Noah, “I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth.
Genesis 9:1-2 And God blessed Noah and his sons and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth. The fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth and upon every bird of the heavens, upon everything that creeps on the ground and all the fish of the sea. Into your hand they are delivered.
After Adam and Eve’s fall, the world eventually became full of evil, and God had to do something about it. He flooded the earth but still gave humanity a new beginning with Noah. After Noah, his descendants created the tower of Babel, resulting in failure again.
Genesis 17:1-4 Abraham and the Covenant of Circumcision
When Abram was ninety-nine years old the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am God Almighty; walk before me, and be blameless, that I may make my covenant between me and you, and may multiply you greatly.” Then Abram fell on his face. And God said to him, “Behold, my covenant is with you, and you shall be the father of a multitude of nations.
Exodus 2:23-25 God Hears Israel’s Groaning
During those many days the king of Egypt died, and the people of Israel groaned because of their slavery and cried out for help. Their cry for rescue from slavery came up to God. And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. God saw the people of Israel—and God knew.
Then God gave humans a chance again with Abraham. Abraham was the beginning of Israel, a people God chose to bless and, in turn, bless the whole world. But we know how that turned out. They were given many chances but continued to fail by disobedience and rebellion.
Exodus 6:6-8 Say therefore to the people of Israel, ‘I am the LORD, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from slavery to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great acts of judgment. I will take you to be my people, and I will be your God, and you shall know that I am the LORD your God, who has brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. I will bring you into the land that I swore to give to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. I will give it to you for a possession. I am the LORD.’”
Exodus 14:30-31 Thus the LORD saved Israel that day from the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore. Israel saw the great power that the LORD used against the Egyptians, so the people feared the LORD, and they believed in the LORD and in his servant Moses.
God gave Israel a new beginning again when he recused them from Egypt but they still failed.
John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
However, thankfully God had a perfect plan that could never fail. He sent his son to die for us. We know today that Jesus is the ultimate new beginning. He has given us a chance to become new again at any time; we just have to repent (genuinely want to change and do it) and accept that Jesus paid that price for us …for all our wrongs.
So it’s not too late yet; accept that new beginning today and be assured of your eternal salvation.

New Beginnings. Glory says everyday is a gift from God. The Bible says his mercies are new every morning. His compassions do not fail and great is his faithfulness.
Fantastic work Vani.
