God Wants Us
Relationship
God created man and established a culture of relationship with him.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth. – Genesis 1:27-28
God gave man the earth to rule over in partnership with Him. And even when man rebelled against Him and was separated from Him, He choose to make a way for man to be able to come back to Him. God could have wiped us out. He could have wiped the evil off the face of this earth and restart. But no, God wanted us, He wants relationship with us. It is not that God can’t do things on His own, for we have heard of the countless miracles that happened by God without man being a part of it, like creation itself, the flood, the plagues and the burning bush. But God wants to partner with us and work through us in the world. For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building – 1 Corinthians 3:9.
Jesus Demonstrated Partnership
When Jesus came, he demonstrated partnership with God, doing many miracles of healing and wholeness in partnership with the Father. And we all have the same prospect to do these miracles and more through Jesus in partnership with God.
I and the Father are one. – John 10:30
If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. – John 15:10
He Forgives Our Worst Sins
God loves us so much that even when we would crucify His only son, He would love us still. He forgives us for even the worst sin we can imagine. How hard would it be for us to forgive someone who, beat our son to death right in front of us intentionally without remorse. Can we? But yet He did it, He forgives us of all sin. He not only forgives us, but He loves us. He opens His arms for us to come running back into it. He loves us in a way we can never love and in a way that we may never fully understand while we are here.
God Came as a Man
God thought so much of us that He sent His son as a man, going through the same path as we do. Through these unclean, sinful creatures Jesus was born and grew up. He did not have to come that way, there is no limitation to God, but He chose to. He chose to be born among us and live the same life that we do. He chose to be one of us to show us His love for us. What a God!
We Need Him
God wants us but we need Him. We can do nothing without Him. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. – John 15:4-5. He gives us our very breath. And when we rebel against Him and turn our backs on Him, it is by His grace and favor that we are still breathing. He continues to give us a chance to come back to Him. He continues to wait patiently on us, and He continues to give us a fresh chance.
Be His
He wants us, and we need Him, so let us make it right with Him if need be and let us be His ambassadors and allow Him to use us to reconcile men back to Him. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. – 2 Corinthians 5:20-21
Let us be His faithfully and sure.

There is so much happening to and around us everyday that we get so caught up in that it often overwhelms us often to the point of us feeling rejected, abandoned. So to hear, to read that God wants us is so refreshing. Then to be reminded that We need him, is eye opening.
