Abraham was obedient to God. He left his home to go to a strange land because God called him to do so. God tested Abraham telling him to sacrifice his son as a burnt offering. Abraham obeyed God and proceeded to prepare for the sacrifice. But when Abraham was asked by his son where is the animal for the sacrifice Abraham told him that God would provide it.

Abraham didn’t know what was going to happen, but he trusted God and he trusted that he would provide. Abraham had faith in God and just as he believed and said God provided. Genesis 22.

In a similar situation, we are all sinners and since the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23) we all have to die for our sins. But God has provided for us already. We don’t even have to wait for it to come in the future. He has already provided that sacrifice which takes our place so that we all can be saved from that death. We should all believe and know that he has provided for us and all we need to do is accept it. He has done all that he can do but he will not force us. Therefore, we need to accept his provision. So let us do like Abraham and even though we may not fully know what is coming we know that God will provide and so let us have faith and let that influence us into action. Accept him and walk with him today.
