He wants you but Its Your Choice
We (i.e., those who have accepted Jesus) are encouraged to share this good news with everyone and anyone we can. This is because if you have been rescued from death and can help save another, wouldn’t you? Shouldn’t you?
But the problem sometimes with sharing is that many other people believe that they, too, have found God, and sharing can be offensive. But I think it’s not about telling someone they have to do it this way, but maybe it’s about telling them they have a choice. The Bible shows us that salvation is a choice. Following Jesus is a choice. We need to tell them that choice, pray for them and allow our lives to display the truth of what Jesus has done for us.
And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. – Joshua 24:15
When given all the information and if someone thinks this is not the way, there is little we can do to change their minds because they must willingly choose for them to be saved. Don’t get me wrong. We need to have an attitude of love when we share and pray for them. We need to do all we can to show them they are loved, but at the end of the day, it is their choice. Philippians 2:12 tells us that each of us must work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. No one can force us.
Moses told Israel this, “I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live.” – Deuteronomy 30:19. This is the bottom line. This is the point. You have been given the message, and it is in your court now to choose.
Jesus said, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” – Matthew 7:13-14
But even knowing this we are not to have a poor attitude when we share, we are to share wholeheartedly with love and hope that they will come.
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me. – Matthew 16:24
Even when we are saved, we still have to choose daily to follow Him. Each day we wake up, we have a choice to follow the enemy or follow Jesus. It’s a constant choice. We live in a world that presents to us the choice of the enemy, flashing in our faces all the time. This is why he gave us the word so that the more time we spend with him in his word, the easier the choice. The more we read and commune with him, the more we realise that this is ultimately, true love and the right choice.

Thank you Vani for this exhortation.
Living for Jesus is indeed a choice that we have to make everyday. He has saved us but we with the Holy Spirit help has to strive to live holy lives.
I have begun to focus on that within more recent times; The Gospel must be presented, The hearer must choose. It is that truthfully simple.
Thank so much.
Looking forward to the next one.
