Know Him, Trust Him
Deuteronomy 4:33-35
33 Did any people ever hear the voice of a god speaking out of the midst of the fire, as you have heard, and still live? 34 Or has any god ever attempted to go and take a nation for himself from the midst of another nation, by trials, by signs, by wonders, and by war, by a mighty hand and an outstretched arm, and by great deeds of terror, all of which the Lord your God did for you in Egypt before your eyes? 35 To you it was shown, that you might know that the Lord is God; there is no other besides him.
Israel was shown these things so that they would know that the Lord is God. They heard the voice of God, and they saw miracles signs and wonders when they were rescued from Egypt. Yet still when they fall into hardship, they fail God miserably. This verse says that it was shown to them so that they would know God but yet still they continued to act as if they did not know God.
We are in a unique position where we can look back and see God in so many instances of his faithfulness to men. We have the Bible that shows us account after account of men being given grace from God and how they so blatantly turn their backs on God and be directly disobedient to Him. These are examples for us to see so that we can learn from it and do better.
We have all these examples, and we also have so many personal experiences and testimonies from God’s people. How can we fail to believe and trust in the true and living God who has given us so much? But yes, we can still fail and that is why we need to walk this life conscious of this truth. Knowing that we need to keep these examples of the bible in our hearts so that we do not do the same.

Indeed, the things that were written afore time, were written for our admonition that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. The experience we have had are reminders of God’s ability, his desire, to intervene in the affairs of men. We have more than enough to continually Trust him in all circumstances. Thanks Vani.
May the Lord through the Holy Spirit grant us grace to walk faithfully with Him through our life’s journey.
