On the Lord’s Side
When we look around us, we see so much injustice and corruption. When you look at the world today, you realize that if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time, you can quickly end up unjustly treated. People mistreat each other all the time. It’s “who knows who” that gets the good opportunities, and the rest are unjustly treated. There are so many wrongfully accused people in prisons that it could make you cry. Who do we run to when we are in danger? The police? In many places, law enforcement is no help at all. When we live in the world and don’t know God, we depend on men to keep justice, but they always fail us. We all can fail. We have no hope there. This can make one feel very alone and scared.
But there is so much hope for those who know God and depend on Him. We can, without a doubt, depend on God. Sometimes it’s hard to see it, and sometimes we must wait for it, but it will happen. He will take care of us, and in the end, he will fix it all. All those who want it will get that happily ever after where there is no injustice. We will be in paradise, loved and with Him. Once we are His and are not doing wrong, we will be rewarded and given justice.
Psalm 9:3-12
3 My enemies turn back; they stumble and perish before you. 4 For you have upheld my right and cause, sitting enthroned as the righteous judge. 5 You have rebuked the nations and destroyed the wicked; you have blotted out their name forever and ever. 6 Endless ruin has overtaken my enemies; you have uprooted their cities; even the memory of them has perished. 7 The Lord reigns forever; he has established his throne for judgment. 8 He rules the world in righteousness and judges the people with equity. 9 The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble. 10 Those who know your name trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. 11 Sing the praises of the Lord, enthroned in Zion; proclaim among the nations what he has done. 12 For he who avenges blood remembers; he does not ignore the cries of the afflicted.
Psalm 9 reminds us that the Lord reigns forever and that he is a righteous judge. He will do right by us all. We can depend on that truth. He is a refuge for the oppressed and never forsakes those seeking Him. So, praise Him and thank Him as the psalmist says. Wait on the Lord, obey and follow him, and he will set it all right again.

Clear, precise, truth. I often think that too much time is spent by Christians on the wrongs in the world, instead of spending our energies on the right that we can and should be doing, including living in a place of trusting God. In him is our Hope.
