The Word is Your Encouragement

The Word is Your Encouragement

June 15, 2023 Vani De Freitas Comments 2 comments

Many times in life, things don’t go the way we plan or hope. But it is in these times that we need God the most. We need his word because it’s precisely in these times that all of what we know about God goes out the door, and the unbelief kicks in. But that is when we need to believe our God and his promises. So today, I leave you with some encouraging verses that may be just what you need to hide in your heart for a time of need.

1 Peter 5:7

7 casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.

2 Timothy 1:7

for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

John 10:10

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Job 1:21

And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

Isaiah 55:6

“Seek the Lord while he may be found;
    call upon him while he is near;

Psalms 37:25

I have been young, and now am old,
    yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken
    or his children begging for bread.

Philippians 4:6

do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Ephesians 3:20

Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us,

2 Kings 6:16

He said, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

1 John 4:4

Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Romans 4:20-21

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
