Psalm 15 asks who may lodge in the Lord’s tent. Who will dwell in the holy hill of the Lord?

This speaks about being with the Lord. Can you imagine lodging as a guest in the Lord’s house? Can you imagine being next to Him or being able to see him? This position of being with the Lord is a place of being without every and any evil, discomfort, pain or suffering we experience in this world. Being with the Lord, our Lord, our Creator, and our Daddy is a place of blessing and peace. It is where we belong and long to be.

This is what we may refer to as heaven. Heaven is a place of ultimate happiness where He is. This is where we should all long to be; with him. Away from the distractions, the temptations, the pain and sorrow. Psalm 15 tells us who can be with Him.

And at the end, it tells us he who does these things will never be shaken.

This is a place I want to be.

He who can lodge in the Lord’s tent:

• Is Upright, has integrity and strength of character
• Does righteousness
• Holds the truth in his heart
• Does not backbite or slander
• Does no evil to his neighbour
• Does not reproach, shame or disgrace his neighbour
• Despises evil and honours one who fears the Lord
• He keeps his word even to his disadvantage
• He does not take interest or bribes

We cannot be this without Him. We cannot be this without being saved. We can only do this with Him. So accept him and let him transform you into this person who will be with Him.

Psalm 15

15 Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? ² He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. ³ He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. ⁴ In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not. ⁵ He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.
