Isaiah 49:5-6 5

And now the LORD says, he who formed me from the womb to be his servant, to bring Jacob back to him; and that Israel might be gathered to him for I am honored in the eyes of the LORD, and my God has become my strength he says: “It is too light a thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob and to bring back the preserved of Israel; I will make you as a light for the nations, that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”

This passage is written about Israel but if it applies to us, it says:

• He has formed us to be his servants
• His servants to bring the lost back to him.
• I am honoured in His eyes
• He is my strength to be able to bring back the lost. 
• And we are so honoured by Him that he wants us to be the light to all nations. 
• So that his salvation can reach the ends of the earth.

All these statements made here can be applied to us today. It has been a long, long time since God has been trying to use us (his people) to bring all others to him. The message back then is still the same today. He wants us to be his light to all the lost.

But even when its been a very long time, God does not give up. He keeps calling us, forgiving us and wanting us. How long will we continue to ignore his call?
