Psalm 149:4

For the Lord takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation.

Psalms 147:11

but the LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.

Psalm 33:18

Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love,

What does the Lord take pleasure in? God takes pleasure in us when we fear Him. This great God, the mightiest of all, who can have anything he wants and create anything he desires, delights in us, a flawed creature. We were not flawed when he created us. He gave us the ability to choose, and our choices have made us flawed. But yet still he delights in us and offers us all salvation. Yet still he is patient with us while we choose poorly over and over again, waiting for us and giving us another chance before it is too late.

Zephaniah 3:16-20

On that day it shall be said to Jerusalem:
“Fear not, O Zion;
    let not your hands grow weak.
The Lord your God is in your midst,
    a mighty one who will save;
he will rejoice over you with gladness;
    he will quiet you by his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing.
I will gather those of you who mourn for the festival,
    so that you will no longer suffer reproach.[c]
Behold, at that time I will deal
    with all your oppressors.
And I will save the lame
    and gather the outcast,
and I will change their shame into praise
    and renown in all the earth.
At that time I will bring you in,
    at the time when I gather you together;
for I will make you renowned and praised
    among all the peoples of the earth,
when I restore your fortunes
    before your eyes,” says the Lord.
