We Choose
Hebrews 10
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, 20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh; 21 And having an high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) 24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
I was reading this excerpt from Hebrews, and something stood out to me so clearly that I thought I’d highlight it here. The author is saying that we have access to God because of the blood of Jesus and so let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith. He says let us hold on to that faith without wavering.
God has made a way for us. Jesus has completed the work of paying our debt, but the rest is in our hands. We need to choose to accept him and his gift. We need to choose daily to build that relationship with him. We need to choose to spend our time with him. We must choose to hold on to that faith, especially when the storm comes with all intentions to destroy us. Yes, God is for us! He is a God who calls us and make a way for us but allows us to choose. However, the truth is that we often choose everything but God. We put off praying and rarely open the Bible outside of church time. We often choose to spend our time on ourselves. But if we don’t choose him, we will draw far away from him. So, let me be mindful of this and choose him before it is too late to choose again.

You know God has given us that will to choose. Let us hold fast to that full assurance of faith in the Lord Jesus. Choosing to trust and walk with Him all our days. Continued blessings to you Vani.
Amen and thank you.
