The Word of the Lord is Pure
Psalm 12:6
The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times.
Psalm 18:30
This God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.
Psalm 119:140
Your promise is well tried, and your servant loves it.
Proverbs 30:5
Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
Psalm 19:8
the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;
There is much deception and lies in this world. It’s hard to find complete truth and dependability in this world and us humans. But God is truthful with us, and His word is true. We can depend on his word to reveal truth and enlightenment to us.
His word is pure, true, well tired, right, and enlightens the eyes. It is so pure that it’s compared to refined silver purified seven times. And seven here is not just a random number; it means completeness. If something is purified five times, it may be pure, but six would be better. But it says seven here to show it’s so pure it’s been purified to completeness. There is no more purification that’s better.
It is a hundred percent accurate. It says exactly what it is meant to say, and it means exactly what it is meant to mean. His word is perfect. It is perfect for addressing that particular situation when we need it to.
His word proves true. It is one hundred percent true. There is nothing false in his word. His word will not contain lies, deception, trickery, or mistakes. It stands up to the test, and we can depend on it. There is not even a tiny miniature chance that it will be wrong or fail. His word proves true and is well-tried. It is verified and dependable. We can trust it with our lives. It is a refuge for us. We have seen it come through every single time. Not once has it failed.
The word of God enlightens the eyes. It teaches us so much about ourselves and our purpose. Every time that we read the word, we can learn something new. If we read the word over and over again for an entire lifetime, we cannot run out of new lessons. The word of God gives us enlightenment to know God, to learn about his relationships and how much he loves us. It is a precious gift to us all, but we must dive into it and use it. If we do not choose it, it cannot help us.

There is not even a tiny miniature chance that it will be wrong or fail. This line made me smile. It is facinating to know that God’s word is so reliable.
Thanks Vani for another deposit of Truth.
